First Seeds of 2011 Sown

I planted about a quarter each of my chillies that arrived earlier this week and some tomato, Red Cherry, seeds. Trays are placed in the hot press to aid germination. The seeds are planted in trays with John Innes No 1 and misted with water. The compost needs to be kept  moist to touch but not wet. A light misting morning and night is better than pouring water straight in to the seed tray.

I plan to sow the remaining chilli seeds at regular intervals over the coming weeks so I have a constant crop throughout the season.
