Seeds For 2011

My seed order from Sow Seeds for the season ahead just arrived. I bought myself a mixed pack of chillies and another for my daughter which contains a good mixture of vegetables and some flowers. Everything came in well designs packaging.

This year I am hoping to grow a lot more varieties of chilli so I have bought a chilli seed pack with 10 varieties of chilli. The pack cost £15 and contains chillies ranging fom mild to the very hot on the Scoville scale.
  • Aji Yellow
  • Bulgarian Carrot
  • Cayenne Golden
  • Cayenne Red
  • Habanero Chocolate
  • Jalapeno
  • Numex Twilight
  • Rocoto Yellow
  • Scotch Bonnet Red
  • Tabasco
The second seeds pack cost £14 and came with 8 varieties of vegetables and 2 of flowers. I also added packets of leek, cabbage, and salad onion seed.
  • Leek 'Hannibal' organic
  • Salad Onion 'White Lisbon'
  • Cabbage 'Duncan' F1
  • Carrot 'Chantenay 2 Red Cored'
  • Cress 'Curly'
  • Pea 'Hurst Greenshaft'
  • Pumpkin 'Gold Fever' F1
  • Salad Leaves 'Lettuce Mixed'
  • Sweetcorn 'Lark' F1
  • Tomato 'Sungold' F1
  • Winter Squash 'Spaghetti'
  • Calendula 'Balls Improved'
  • Sunflower 'Giant Yellow Single'
Looks like a lot of seed and suspect I'll be feeding half the street. Next step will be to sow some of the chillies indoor. The vegetables will have to wait another month or more until the weather warms up.
