First Crop of Chinese Cabbage and Pak Choi

Harvested our first chinese cabbage today. Ate it lightly boiled with some barbecued ribs and salad outside in the garden. What I did not realise when planting the seeds in mid-March was the size these plants grow to and the amount of space each plant takes up. I would leave about 50cm between plants in the future.

Yesterday we had our first pak choi. Very disappointing crop as only 3 plants managed to grow to maturity from a whole row of seeds sown back in March. Not sure if the seeds were old (they were left over from last year) or if the weather was just too cold in March. I planted another crop of pak choi about 3 weeks ago and some seedlings are now starting to appear.
