The slugs have been busy eating their way through the seeds I
planted last month. The spring onions and carrots are germinating reasonably well. However only a few of the radish seedlings have survived. I also had a tray of lettuce seedlings in my outdoor cloche that had germinated nicely when I looked at them early last week. Now the slugs have eaten every last bit of green foliage. I invested in some slug pellets over the weekend to bring the battle to the next level.
I planted a few more rows of seeds today including
- First of this year's peas.
- Mangetout. Haven't grown these before and am interested to see how they turn out.
- Sowed a dense row of cabbage seeds for later transplanting.
- More radish, carrots, and spinach.
- Planted a new tray of lettuce seeds in the outdoor cloche.
