Weekend Jobs - June 13th

Planting:
- Transplanted tomatoes and pepper plants into the space freed up by the first harvest of potatoes.
- Transplanted sweetcorn to their final position. Since sweetcorn is pollinated by the wind instead of insects or birds they should be planted in blocks rather than in rows. Allow about 45cm between plants.

Maintenance:
-Thinned out sunflowers plants.
- Canes to support peas and gooseberry bush branches. Support for tomato cordons.
- First cut of the grass on the new lawn.
- Weeding.
