Still Have A Few Crops In The Garden

I finished the last of my peas during the week with the remaining stalks ended up on the compost bin. I was  lazy this year and did not sow a new crop of peas every few weeks so as to have a continuous crop throughout the season. I am still a fan of starting out the pea seeds in a jar. It also keeps the kids interested as they can see how seeds develop into plants.

On the other hand my pumpkins are ripening nicely just in time for halloween. These were crop grown from saved seeds from last years crop. They are a bit on the small side and I am having a running argument with my daughter about whether to save them for halloween or make some soup or pie from them.
