Shower Tiling

With the changing weather I did not get a chance to do much work outdoors in the garden this weekend. However I did get a shower tiled (it still needs to be grouted).

Some lessons learnt

• Tank the shower area before tiling. See my earlier post tanking a shower.
• Apply a upstand seal around the edge of the shower tray before tiling to avoid water seeping between the tray and back of the tiles.
• Take the time to clean out excess adhesive from between the tiles before it sets. It can be a tedious task when using mosaic tiles but it is worth the effort to create clean grout lines.
