Sweetcorn

What a difference a month makes. The husks just started to set on my sweetcorn at the beginning of the month and this evening I harvest the first corn of the season and ate it with my dinner. The corn is lovely and sweet, a little on the small size but should be perfect in another week. I have about 30 plants at different levels of maturity and with 3 or 4 husks per plant so we will be eating corn for the next month.

We are planning this years block party in the coming week and the sweetcorn should go down a treat on the BBQ like last year.
