We have started to harvest some runner beans in the last week. The young seedlings were given to me by a neighbour in exchange for some chilli plants. I am still harvesting my draft French beans and peas. The pea crop has been disappointing this year as the slugs seem to have got the upper hand and eaten most of the plants when they were still young.
