First Outdoor Lead

A few of us decided to headed down to Ballykeefe Quarry over Easter weekend for a spot of sports climbing.

My daughter, Alice, had a great day and made her first outdoor lead climb on 'Push Your Granny' (HS 4c). It is a nice little route and she made easy work of the route once we got over her initial reluctance to lead it.

We have a few more trips planned over the coming weeks and months. I hope to get back to Ballykeefe later in the summer.
