Pruning Chillies For Over Wintering

Time to prune my chilli plants for over wintering. Most of the plants are already 2 or 3 years old and have been previously been over-wintered. This was my best summer for chillies with a continuous harvest from mid summer. There are still a number of plants producing fruit.
I cut back most of the foliage to a joint or growing bud on the stem and stripped most of the remaining leaves as they are looking tired. Some of the smaller plants are still producing chillies so I just removed any unnecessary leaves and stems.
The plants are looking a lot neater now. I am expecting fresh signs of growth in late January and hopefully another good crop next summer.
