First Harvest of 2013

We have been eating some iceberg lettuce from the garden for the last week. There is nothing like going out to the garden and picking a fresh head and having it served on the table 5 minutes later. You can't get any fresher than that. I also dug up some of my over-wintered garlic. They are still a little small and could do with another month of growth before harvesting.
The potato crop has grown a huge amount of foliage over the last month. I am looking forward to harvesting some new potatoes early next month.

The strawberries are also looking good and I am expecting a bumper crop next month as long as I can keep the slugs and birds at bay.
