Planting Over-Winter Garic

I bought a pack of 3 'Marco' garlic bulbs about 2 weeks ago but only had the time and weather to plant them this weekend. Unlike previous years I am only over-wintering garlic this year. For the last 2 year my onion crop have been very poor so I plan to hold off on planting onions until next spring.
We are still getting some fresh vegetables from the garden. I picked the last of this year's spinach, pak choi and scallions at the weekend. We still have a few more meal's worth of broccoli, bean and daikon. The cabbage is a little on the small side and suspect it will have to over-winter before most of it is ready to eat in the spring.
