Took the opportunity at the weekend to get outside into the garden to start preparing my raised beds for the season ahead. I had two overflowing compost bins from last year so I made a third from some salvaged fencing panels. I emptied the top half of the compost bins into the new one and spread the rest over my raised beds. I had enough compost to cover 4 beds. I also set up a cloche on a raised bed to start to warm up the soil for plating in a few weeks.
