Potatoes Out, Tomatoes In

This morning I dug up the last of my potatoes. We have got nearly 3 months of eating from this year's crop but admittedly they have been past their prime for the last month. My main reason for growing potatoes this year was to breakup an area of the garden that was full of building rubble last year. I would like to grow these again next year but maybe not so many.

As this year's potatoes have come to an end, my tomato crop is peaking. I harvested a few Kg of tomotoes this morning which we used to cook a few jars full of tomoto sauce. There are still plenty left to harvest on the plants over the next few weeks if the weather is favourable.
