I was fortunate to get most of my gardening done on Saturday as the skies opened up on Sunday.
- The cabbage seeds I sowed last month are coming along nicely and I need to decide on where to transplant the young plant as they will be ready for transplanting in the next week or two.
- Continued to sow radishes and peas at 2 weekly intervals.
- Transplanted some of my daughter's flower seedlings into the vegetabe beds in the hope of attaching some beneficial insects later in the season.
- First trusses have start to form on my first batch of tomatoes. Remember to continue to nip out side shoots and to start to add bamboo supports for the growing plants.
- Harvested the first of this year's diakons and a handful of strawberries.
- The first fruit of this year's chilli crop have started to set. The Bulgaian Carrot were the first to flower and fruit to set. Since these plants are indoors I need to pollinate the plants using my finger or a small artist brush.
